Kiersten McLeod

Kiersten started synchro when she was nine years old in Lethbridge, Alberta. She did two years of recreational synchro and six years of competitive at both the provincial and high performance levels. She enjoyed participating at competitions across Canada. Currently, Kiersten is on Aquatica’s competitive masters team. Synchro is a family affair for Kiersten, as her younger sister Maddy is a coach and athlete with Aquatica as well. 
 
Kiersten has been coaching since 2011. She has coached at all levels and age groups and is currently coaching a 9-10 competitive team. She is a trained AquaGo instructor and a Competition Intro coach. Kiersten is passionate about fostering fun and inclusive experiences in sport for everyone. 
 
Outside of the pool, Kiersten works at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Kiersten studied history in university and wrote her Master’s thesis on the history of synchronized swimming. She also enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her dog.
