Aquatica Synchro’s Provincial Stream is for athletes who have learned basic artistic swimming skills. Athletes compete in local, provincial, and inter-provincial competitions. Athletes are placed on teams by the coaches according to their age and skill level. Swimmers learn artistic swimming-specific skills including flexibility, strength, and speed development. Typically, swimmers are 8 to 18 years old. Training hours increase as age increases.

Athletes in the Provincial Stream will compete in Manitoba Artistic Swimming Competitions in the 2025-2026 year.  Please note these dates have not yet been set by Manitoba Artistic Swimming. Generally, there is one competition in November, January/February, March and April.

Athletes have the opportunity to compete interprovincially at the Canadian Prairie Championship in May 2026 in Saskatchewan.

Association Fees – fees for Manitoba Artistic Swimming and Canada Artistic Swimming will be paid through RAMP when registering.

Apparel:  Athletes in the competitive streams will require:

  1. A black swimsuit, white cap, and plain goggles for figure competitions. These can be purchased locally.
  2. Wardrobe Kit. See website for info. Kit requirements will vary for Provincial Stream and Competitive athletes
  3. Routine suits and head pieces to be determined as the routines take shape in the fall.  The coach, in consultation with the parents, will choose the suit. The final decision rests with the coach. These are ordered by the club and costs added to your account.

Competition Fees:  There are 4 – 6 meets per year, and athletes are charged competition fees for each meet in which they participate.  These fees range from $25 to $75 per event at each meet. “Events” include figures, team, solo, duet, or combo at a given competition. All Provincial Stream athletes compete in the figure event and a routine event (usually team).

Volunteer Levy:  Families with swimmers registered in a competitive program are required to make a commitment to support Aquatica through volunteering.  Details can be found on our website and vary depending on the programming in which your athlete registers: VOLUNTEER PLAN

Fundraising Levy: Parents/guardians of Competitive swimmers will be asked to participate in fundraising events. Because Aquatica Synchro Club is a non-profit, incorporated organization, fundraising is a critical component of reducing the overall fees. A fundraising levy of $400.00 per family is paid in advance which is earned back when fundraising items are sold. This fee will be collected via cheque or e-transfer at the start of the season.

Travel Costs: Travel amounts to be confirmed once competition schedules have been released.

Note:  Aquatica Synchro reserves the right to withdraw programming if there is insufficient registration. Exact location, days, and times of all programs are subject to pool confirmation in August 2025.

Early Registration Incentive

Competitive athletes registered before August 10, 2025 for any programming will pay fees as listed. After that time, there will be a $200 late registration fee added to listed prices. Registering by this date gives our coaches time to plan accordingly and our Board time to budget based on a more accurate representation of what our enrollment will look like.

Late registration fee will not apply to our Novice and 10&U programs due to these being our entry level competitive programs.
